Meet Raphael A. Ason, DMD, MD
Dr. Raphael A. Ason is a dual-degree, board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon known for his precision, compassion, and commitment to excellence. He brings years of advanced training and surgical experience to Central Florida, offering a full scope of oral and facial procedures with state-of-the-art technology.
Education & Training
Bachelor of Science in Biology – Florida Atlantic University
Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) – University of Florida
Doctorate of Medicine (MD) – New York University School of Medicine
Specialty Certification in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery – NYU (6-year residency program)
Advanced Surgical Experience
While at NYU, Dr. Ason trained extensively in:
Complex dental implants and bone grafting
Maxillofacial trauma, including jaw and cheekbone fractures
Advanced pathology, including benign and malignant tumors of the jaw
Computer-guided virtual surgery, used to pre-plan procedures for improved precision and outcomes
Facial aesthetics, including Botox® and dermal fillers
He completed externships at:

John Peter Smith Hospital, TX
University of North Carolina
He also served as Chief Resident at Bellevue Hospital Center and was a Teaching Fellow at NYU College of Dentistry.
